from Tuesday to Sunday, from 2pm to 6pm. All visits are accompanied and take place with an official guide: The first visit starts at 2:15pm, the last visit is at 5.15pm |

Group visits
Group visits possible during or outside opening hours
Upon prior announcement if possible at the latest the month preceding the visit.
One group = 10 people minimum.
CHF 10.- per person.
For a group of less than 10 people, a flat rate of CHF 100 is required.
These visits can be focused on a particular theme related to the castle, its history and its collections.
For schoolchildren, we take into account your educational expectations.

Practical information
Our reception and museum shop
in the original kitchen of the château, you can find a selection of books about Jacques Necker and Madame de Staël, including a selection of Madame de Staël’s works plus postcards and souvenirs. The château does not have refreshment facilities. After your visit, take a walk in the historic village of Coppet and discover its shops and cafés by the lake front. |
The village of CoppetCoppet was founded around 1280 by Humbert IV of Thoire and Villars. In 1299 we find the first explicit mention "in burgo castri nostri de copet" (i.e. "in the village of our castle of Coppet". The historic village of Coppet offers its old streets and Bernese arcades to the promenade that will take you to the shores of the lake from where you will see Geneva, the Alps and the Tip of Yvoire on the French shore.
